| Family fans of the show Hamilton were excited to learn that they're actually related quite closely to the Schuyler sisters--third cousins all those generations back. In fact, pioneer Schuyler Everett was likely named after his Grandpa Samuel Schuyler, who lived in that Revolutionary Era and would have known the family connections. Unfortunately since his mom Eliza died young, she wasn't able to share that heritage with her son for the awareness to pass down through the years. Nevertheless, the names live on in this current cousin generation as we have an Eliza, a Schuyler, and a Margaret--we wrote ourselves back in to the narrative. |
