Next Sunday is
Book of Mormon Day--celebrating its publication almost two centuries ago in 1830!
Compelling evidence also shows that March 26 was the date for the First Vision in 1820. This book changed global history and more particularly for the ancestors featured on this website, it was the reason our dozens of pioneers left homes in Europe to come to America. The current of faith run

ning down through the years is anchored by
records from generations ago. From
Wealthea Bradford Hatch who read the Book of Mormon to her Indian friends in New York in 1830, to
Victor Hegsted who learned to read from a Danish Book of Mormon at his mother's knee as a four year old, this volume of scripture has inspired, motivated, and empowered our lineage and our lives today.
After years of trying to educate, enlighten, and entertain my own family about the scriptures, as well as Primary, Sunday School, Institute, and early-morning seminary students, here are a few ideas of how to celebrate the Book of Mormon this coming week.
