Going into our marriage, he didn't know that he'd eventually have to walk past a wall of dour faces--an ancestral gauntlet--just to go downstairs; or fund headstone purchases, research trips, and book printings, enthuse over microfilm discoveries, and have a wife in a pioneer hoopskirt at times, but my amazing husband has been my best supporter and my dearest friend for nearly two decades. He has also generously shared his half of ancestors with me, which has been a great blessing in my life. Happy birthday, love!
