I just think this guy's parents have the neatest portraits! He also has a great name, only rivaled by his mother, Margarita Van Slichtenhorst Schuyler, and his wife, Cornelia Van Cortlandt Schuyler. They were early Dutch colonists in New York, and ancestors of our Dutch-named Schuyler Everett.
Margarita was a savvy business woman, who as a widow managed to circumvent English inheritance laws in her will, dividing the estate equally between her children. Brandt was one of twelve children and quite prominent in business and politics; he died of smallpox.
I would give him a trip to modern NYC.
