Within a span of ten days, the patriarch pioneer "founders" of two of our family branches celebrated their 200th birthdays: Stephen Robert Wells on December 26, 2022, and John Welch on January 6, 6023.
I mailed out fun cards to descendants with some celebratory ideas:

| Stephen's life-size cutout joined us all December looking festive (a Santa hat was on his head and someone asked why we had an Abraham Lincoln Santa in our home) |

| we experienced the local "salt cave" to think of moving to the Dixie desert |
 |
| dinner at the Five Alls, a historic British-themed "tavern dinner" |
 |
| Welch cousins connected at the temple to honor John Welch |
So grateful for these brave souls who lived through challenging times and left a powerful legacy for their posterity!
